Thankful Thursday

Time once again to get a little schmaltzy and list out all the things I'm thankful for. Actually, it really is good for your soul to do this.....

PT camp starting again. I thrive on structure and it's just what I need. Three days a week of something pre-planned by someone else. Each morning, I never know what torture the Princess of Pain will choose to inflict but I always love it. I'm self motivated enough to carry on for the other days, but I actually love someone bossing me on a regular basis like this.

Girl Scout Cookies. Thin Mints. 'Nuff said.

My sweet girl Jordan. Although her bark is a shrill, high pitched yap that she uses far too often (schnauzers are such vocal talkers), she still is just the perfect little companion for me. There is nothing like coming home and once you get past the ear piercing yips, having yourself completely and utterly adored. There is just something special about canine companionship.

Emails from our missionary. Seriously, if I had to be in the old days with only letters by pouch, I think I would go crazy! I live for Monday's and knowing I will get to hear from him. Even if nothing exciting is going on, just the regular communication from him is enough to get this Mama through. Only 9 1/2 more months!

3 day weekends. When I sneak a Friday off, it just makes the whole rest of the weekend go better, and even though there is a ton of stuff on the schedule for this upcoming one, I'm not too stressed knowing I have an extra day in there.

Speaking of this upcoming weekend. I am thankful for my great big dining table. Seats 8. Since I will likely have at least that many adults for three different courses of a progressive dinner Saturday night, I am grateful that I will have room to fit everyone.

And finally, Dreyer's Double Churned Vanilla Bean ice cream. Low in calories, and the vanilla taste is the best of any brand out there. Top it with some berries, and you have a great low-cal treat. (And if anyone from Dreyer's would like to contact me with a coupon, feel free, since the Milk Dud's people have TOTALLY let me down.)

What are you thankful for today?

Hahaha, you cracked me up with that last one! I'll have to try that brand. (See, Dryers, it's already working. Give the woman some free ice cream!)

I do like those mint cookies too.

Just SO said...

I love progressive dinners! They are so dang fun.

I am thankful that my husband works 4 10's and gets every Friday off. It's pretty darn cool.

And yeah, Thin Mints.

I love the PT camp, followed by the Thin Mints. I guess the camp enables you to eat lots of the TM.

Thin mints...yummm! I ate half the box by myself yesterday which makes me REALLY jealous of your PT camp!

I'm grateful for a lot of things. But today I'm especially grateful for my paycheck!

What the H is PT camp??? It sounds brutal. I'm thankful that I only have 10 more days left of this freakin' diet. And that I might get to see all you cute girls from the lunch at the purse thingie on Saturday.
