Slang Gang Word of the Day

Parade Maker - A driver and/or car that goes consistently under the speed limit, causing a back up of 20+ cars creating frustration and your ability to be where you want to be on time.

"Gee boss, I'm very sorry I'm 20 minutes late, but I was in a long line stuck behind this parade maker"

Not sold on the "cool bunny" graphic, I'm still interested if anyone finds something better! Now go to, and use (don't be one) "parade maker"

I work with teenagers on a daily basis, and I have never heard of these!

I do know lots of drug slang, however.

Just SO said...

I'm a parade maker when I get tired.

I emailed you a picture that might work.

I guess I'm a parade maker because every morning when I take my son to school, I won't go over the speed limit. It's posted 25mph, and I know of 2 people who got tickets for going over that.
I don't care how long that line is, I don't want to get a ticket.

I'm off to practice my "parade wave."

We have another word for parade makers - it's called 'Snowbirds'. Hate driving behind them, in a car or with a shopping cart! Thankfully they'll all be leaving in about two months and going back where they came from.

Did you read my 26 things that bug? Cause parade makers made the list, especially the ones in the carpool lane. Grrrr!
