If it's Wednesday, then I'm wondering WHY? Splenda Daddy's Edition
Splenda Daddy demanded his own edition. I guess he has burning questions too....
SD wants to know WHY our conversations about going out to dinner always end up like this:
SD - "Where do you want to go eat?"
Me - "I don't care, you choose. I don't wanna decide. You pick, I'll be fine wherever."
SD - "No really, where do you want to go?"
ME - "I'm NOT choosing. Really, anything you want is fine."
SD - "Well, what do you feel like? Anything special?"
Me - "No, anything would be just great."
SD - "Okay let's go here _________."
Me - "No"
and then we end up going where I have been wanting go to all along. What's to wonder about?

Our 24th anniversary is this weekend, and this little issue has been in the top 10 of reasons we have spats. My husband calls it "retaining veto power".
To my way of thinking, it's just my way of balancing out the universe, from thoe times when I spend hours or even days wrestling with a particularly difficult situation with one of our kids, make and announce my decision, take all the flak for everything, only to have my husband say, "Well, honey, have you really thought about this?"
That is so true!! But with us the roles are reversed. I tell Brian a suggestion and then he ALWAYS suggests something else. Which tells me "I don't want to go where you just suggested, even though I said I don't care".
Doesn't he know the real question of the day....
Why can't he just read your mind?
We always have this conversation too. Come see me later today and enter my give-a-way!
We have the same conversation!
he'll catch on eventually, i'm sure! ;)
My husband always asks me that question, so I answer with:
"Give me three choices and I'll pick one."
It usually works, because he picks 3 that he can live with and I get the final say.
I always have and always will retain veto power. Or any power for that matter.
We try to take turns deciding. But we haven't been out to eat in a while and we've been stuck in a bit of a rut going out for Thai most of the time.
Sounds like a completely rational discussion to me.
What is SD's problem?
Totally the same way mine and Elton's conversations go when deciding on where to eat. And ultimately, I WIN.
Hahaha, that is funny. we have that same conversation, except Big Daddy always says I should choose, and then he vetoes my first four choices cause he already eat there that week. Spoiled brat.
lol that's how it happens with us too!
that is a perfectly sensible conversation! I see nothing wrong with it! =)
did you record that from my house? ♥
I LIVE your your DH's twin! LOL!
