Thankful Thursday
Is it Thursday already? Wha? You mean Thursday's almost over?? I'm running a little behind. Okay, not running duh, cause I'm a gimp right now, but I am slow today. Okay, I'm slow every day. Whatever.
Things I am thankful for today:
The DVR. Totally missed The Office tonight. Sure, I was doing the Lord's work (visiting teaching), but I missed it nonetheless. I'm glad that I can now just watch it later and skip all the commercials. They just make me want to buy stuff anyway.
My handicap parking pass. Yep! NGL - pretty sweet deal to park RIGHT AT THE FRONT!! I like to pull in, and then as I hobble out of the seat trying to get my crutches out and not bang myself in the head, while also trying to not fall down, I like to look around to make sure that everyone sees that I am legit! I do however, notice the many places that don't seem to be ADA compliant. Really, if I were in a wheelchair, I would not be able to get inside Taco Bell. Just on crutches, it's quite the show. For Reals. And that is just cruel and unusual punishment to keep one out of the Taco Bell.
My Sev. I know, I know. What's the big deal? A Sev is a Sev right? WRONG! My Sev has the good ice, the caffeine free diet coke and the perfect vanilla. Trust me. I know my convenience store beverage stands, and my Sev is the BEST!
For a bestie who may or may not share part of my brain. When I yell, "MY BLANKIE!". No more words are necessary.
For a carpet cleaning machine and the Splenda Daddy who works it. After Freakshow's tummy ailment (gross), I was more than ready to light a match, torch the entire house and start fresh. Splenda's voice of reason was louder than my whining.
And finally......my sweet MIL who sent over dinner Tuesday night. She's a busy woman who is now in the middle of packing a house of 40 years and moving. Yet, she found time to make my favorite french dip and send it over with Brock's best corn.
Anything you're thankful for today? I mean tonight?

I'm thankful for Melissa and all she does for our family. I'm also thankful I'm not a single parent.I don't know how they do it. I have a lot of respect for them.
Splenda Daddy
Aww...what a guy that Splenda is.
I am thankful for Melissa too. And that my little man is getting baptized tomorrow. Even if it causes me self-imposed stress.
You are so lucky that you get to park in the front of the store. Elton calls me "Costanza" because I marvel at up close parking spots when I get them.
One time in college, I borrowed my grandma's car. She had a handicapped sign in it. So of course, my roommate and I parked in handicapped parking at Wal Mart. When we came back out to the car, someone left a nice little note on the windshield that said: "Is your handicap your brain?" Bastard.
How sweet that Splenda Daddy commented!
Also, I have to say that I am very jealous of your Sev. We don't have one within miles of my house. Orem maybe? The Harts is good, but it's no Sev.
I'm so glad that people are taking care of you! Here's hoping you get better soon! And here's a link from my friend's blog that I know you can relate to:

I was all teary when I read you post about going to Logan...and a bit mad that I didn't read it sooner. I would have shared your misery for a moment or two! Take care of yourself!
I'm not sure what I was gonna type...'cuse I'm laughing at Vanessa's comment!
hahahahaha!
Weird cause I am thankful for your handicapped parking pass too.
