Can I come out now? It's a Spiritual Sunday, I promise to be nice.....

Just needed a tiche of a break, and what do you know? A few amazing things happened to snap me right back to myself! Co-inky-dink? I think not!

Exhibit A - Friday late morning - Daily phone call from a BFF. What's wrong she asks? Me - Complete melt down! Her - a voice of reason, sympathy and wit.
Who knew that Sharks not only had broad shoulders to help carry burdens but also warm hearts in spite of their attempts to prove otherwise? Right call at the right time, with the right things said. Love your guts Tiburon!

Exhibit B - Friday's mail. Cadance - whom I can officially declare my sister/cousin, because her cousins mom said yes she would adopt me, sent me a little sumpin sumpin that honestly just lifted my heart. A sincere, thoughtful gift that has meaning behind it, is enough to make a grown girl cry. Look what the lovely little sweetheart sent me.
Seems that they had a whole write-up insert in their local Sunday paper, about the new Yankee stadium and who did she think of? Lil 'ole me! And if that wasn't enough, also included some cute reading material for Sissy. Thank you, thank you, thank you Cadance!

Exhibit C - Sports-Am is a great sponsor of many races and runs and are in tune with those that participate. Rather than me risk a fall or injury racing down a canyon Saturday morning in a snow storm, they allowed me to transfer my registration to another of their sponsored races later this season. Huge props to Sports-Am! No cold wet racing for me! James is a supahstah! A HUGE relief!

Exhibit D - Seems that while I was busily training my little heart out at the gym Saturday morning. Splenda Daddy pulled the trigger. I am pleased to introduce you to: Miss Mustang Molly
Isn't she beautiful? The dark candy-apple red color is seriously TO DIE FOR! This has been 5 years in the planning. Splenda is NOT an impulse buyer. He is a planner, saver and preparer. He has waited a long time and he deserves it. It has taken him a little bit of time to get over any guilty feelings he might have had for the first nano-second or two, but to see the pure joy on his face is priceless! And the best part? I get to drive her once in awhile too! Sher - road trip is on the to-do list, just let me know when!! : )

Exhibit E - My BFF SIL and the girls.
Another book signing, and while the bookstore she was at this time, isn't the most well known, and they were difficult to get to because of road construction, and they were competing with another LARGER LDS bookstore's Ladies Night, just being there to support my girl was enough for me. Browsed some books, toys and goodies and enjoyed the drive to and from Utah County all.alone. And no, I am not throwing the bookstore any props. They were no better than the last time I was there. Overpriced, and understocked.

Exhibit E - General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Our semi-annual general conference was this weekend. With Sissy, there was no sitting down, and enjoying it like I have been able to in years past. No, just not gonna happen. But we did DVR it and I plan on catching all the talks later this week. However, interestingly enough, she became occupied at exactly the time that Elder Jeffrey R. Holland spoke.
That one talk, his talk, was enough. It was exactly what I needed, when I needed it and it was enough. Again, no co-inky-dink there. No way. I am not alone. I am loved, watched over, and my needs are known.

And finally Exhibit G - Sissy. Really, do I even need to say anything? Her cuteness factor rises every weekend. This weekend, I actually got her a little earlier than usual. We have quite our games together and she has become such the little snuggle bug, hugger and lover. For the first time, she has said "Yuke" (Luke), and "yuv you" (Love you) totally of her own volition and not prompted. Right now, her living situation is precarious at best, we are concerned and worried but it's nothing I can go into detail about on a public blog. I suspect we might have a long road ahead of us in assuring her safety and well-being. It might get ugly. But, I know things will be okay. I'm doing all I can, the rest will work out. 'Nuff said.

Yes, that is a Billy Bob binky. I couldn't help myself. And yes, we laughed, what of it?
So within a matter of a weekend, my outlook has, for the most part, improved. Are things perfect? Nope, still a mild phunk going on, and my worry about Sissy is sometimes almost more than I can wrap my head around, but I also have faith that things will work out. Elder Holland reminded me that I do not have to walk the road alone, and when I am feeling my very lowest, my Savior will see me through.

Here's looking ahead to a new and hopefully, brighter week!

I *heart* Sissy and I'm sure that things will work out in the end. She is so loved by her Mimi and Poppa and uncles.

I, too, loved Elder Holland's talk and felt he was speaking right to me. Can't wait to get it in the Ensign and read it again.

Love you, girl!
