Instead on Monday (A Utah holiday), we scrounged a coke can from the Shark with the discount, borrowed a refillable mug and headed north just after the park opened.
Chloee's chosen garb. We call this the Unabomber look...
The day couldn't have been any better! Not crowded, overcast with some occasional drips, and temps that didn't melt one like a popsicle. Was perfect!!
And so I present for your or maybe just my family's viewing pleasure - Lagoon 2011 in pictures:
First up - the merry-go-round. Spinny rides are Splenda's job
The dinosaur drop - remember the video from last year?
It was just as exciting this year!
The jumping dragon. That goes around and around and around and around and around.....
It's worth the smile and laughter!
She even wanted to do the little kiddie rides
Waiting her turn and checking out how the ride is gonna work
Measuring to see if she is tall enough. Love that every time she would go up on her tippy toes!
The scrambler
The swings
The Odysea - of course she chose a shark to ride in!
The skyride with Poppa
But her most favorite part of all? Was it the roller coaster? The spinning rides? The cotton candy?
Nope!
The FOUNTAINS!
She would run over and use Splenda's shirt to dry her eyes
We had a great time and she was sad to go. Splenda and I, on the other hand, were more than done. Seven hours is plenty. And with promises to come back next year - all's good!
And of course, got have some video - I realize it's kind of long (especially the fountains) but fam will enjoy.

I SOOOO wanted to go to Lagoon when we were in Utah last week but there was no time. Dang it!
What a great day for you guys and isn't it so very wonderful (is there a song? I just broke into Frank) that kids can be happy running around in water! Love it and so cute Chloee kept drying her eyes on Splenda's shirt.
It looks like you all had a blast. I know what you mean by done...I am usually over it in three hours.
When is Chloe leaving? I am sad and happy for her at the same time.
That girl is a trooper. I'm a little light headed just seeing the still pictures even. I love that she used the shirt as her towel. Smart woman. Lagoon is so fun especially when it's not crowded and not hot. I'll try to get you some pictures of Culvers. Just for you.
YAY!!!!
I can't believe you quit so soon! Sheesh M, you're gettin' old!
I didn't see you out in the fountains either. What's with that?
I love those pictures of her.
Your hair is darling!
Looks like a fun day!
We are thinking of going there next week, but only if the kids get the flowerbeds weeded.
Yeah, it may or may not happen.
I want to go to the Lagoon. This looks like too much fun.
7 hours is a very long time.
You guys are troopers!
Looks like she had a ball.
I'd pretty much do anything for that smile.
Some of my fondest memories of growing up in Utah is of Lagoon.
Chloee looks like she loved every minute of it.
The last time I went to Lagoon was an interesting experience. Not as pleasant as your day.
Lagoon--
The happiest place in Utah.
love the unibomber look!
FUN, Fun, Fun! I love Chloee's expressive little face. No guessing what she is feeling.
Hey! We were there the same day. That would have been awesome to run into you..
Oh, that looks like so much fun! I bet it is a lot better with little ones, sharing in their excitement. Cute pictures!
Fun! We have never been (my poor, deprived children), but hope to go next summer. I loved all of the pictures.
I couldn't afford to take all my kids this year. Princess got to go today with a friend and family for his birthday. They had so much fun!
Sandy
Lovin that unabomber look...lol!
When we lived in Idaho we took the kids to Lagoon a couple of times and they always had the BEST TIME.....EVER!!
I only go to Lagoon about once every two or three years. Frightmares is my favorite time of the year to go...but it looks like you guys had fun anyhow.
I love your hair cut short. Looks sassy! The smiles in all these pictures are just priceless. What awesome memories you have made with your little Miss. Hope her transition goes good too. Prayers for ya.
