First this:
Seeing my name come up in the St George Marathon Lottery!

Then the hysterical picture I got in the mail from a southern bff

And finally just remembering how great my Mother's Day was -

Saturday night, Splenda and I went shooting, and spent some time at the gun shop looking at options and getting information.

Followed by dinner at my favorite pizza place - The Pie

Sunday was even better!

First, Chloee helped Splenda make me a waffle with strawberries and whip cream.  Totally my favorite breakfast of all time.

An hour long skype call with Corb and listening to Chloee read all her Challenger books to him  And watching how sweet he is with her. 

Then listening to sweet Chloee sing in church with the Primary kids.  So what if she felt the need to also lead the music?  It was cute and the "I love you" in sign language at the end was the icing on the cake.

Coming home to my other boys and Splenda giving me prizes and preparing a nice dinner of a sauteed mushroom covered steak with guacamole and chips.  One of my all time favorite dinners!

We this family photo taken 7 (SEVEN) years ago at my niece's wedding and I have wanted it framed that long. I kinda forgot about it, but Splenda didn't! I love that picture! Now we are laughing that we got it framed just in time to do another family photo next month at the wedding.

That evening my brother and his fam came over and we skyped with my mom in Sweden. She didn't bother to tell us that it was 2:00am her time!

It was a nice chance to be together and to see how much fun they are having on their mission!

Things that are just tickling me pink today!

Meeting Shawn!  I have been dying to meet this lady.  She is an amazingly creative,  and talented performer. And a hoot to sit and chat with. I can only hope to be as cool as her one day!  And I loved meeting all the great ladies there as well!

Learning that while Zupa's is mighty tasty - my stomach doesn't like it.  I am always grateful to learn those bits of information.  

That Tiburon can crop any touch up any photo and make us turn out a decent.  Actually, I was the only one that needed work, the other ladies are naturally gorgeous.  And like how she left her self out of it?  She was there, looking beautiful as always, I promise!

That a person close to me is seriously considering joining the Marine corp.   I can't think of anything more honorable.

That I am browning up nicely, and hopefully while on the beach in 11 more days, no one will mistake me for a beached sea animal and try to roll me back in.  There is still the possibility, but since I don't think brown whales exist, I might have a shot.

That the Olympics are almost over so I can get back to my regularly scheduled TV.  I tried really hard last night to watch ice dancing and just couldn't get into it.  I need the Biggest Loser and The Office back.

Nothing like church basketball.  Where everyone's TRUE colors can come out!  Actually, this year is quite tame.  I am tickled most my Sissy's love of the boys and the game.

Even more so by CB's obvious mutual love for her.  CB (in the blue hat) is autisitic and our favorite kid to have around.  From the minute Sissy was big enough to interact with him, she loves to be play with him.  She will look for him at church and loves when she sees him at the house.  She's got an unusual sense of  kindness and happiness for CB and he is the greatest with her!

Things that are just 'tickling me pink' today:

Coming home from the office to a treat of brownie bites, skittles and the perfectly concocted CFDCWV.  I haven't felt well, and been in quite the funk, but SHE knew exactly what I needed!!

Blogger friends whose creativity knows no bounds.  A dinner celebration bodes prizes for everyone thanks to HER wonderfulness!  It now sits proudly on my desk at work and that bread in the background?  It may or may not have been the third loaf the server put in front of me.

My niece's husband (does that make him my nephew?).  Dude loves my Pumpkin dessert and when I finally got back to the house for dinner, I was so sad to see it was all gone.  He had however, saved himself one last piece.  Of course, he was kind enough to offer it to me, but I let him have it.  The next best thing?  Dude sneaks and takes a picture of it on my camera just to rub it in.  Just remember RH, what they say about paybacks!  : )

Sissy's ingenuity.  Left alone for a few brief moments in her room and look what happens. Baby Powder EVERYWHERE.  Now before you all start the lecturing about how dangerous it is if they breathe it in etc etc....  We got her cleaned up pretty quick, but not before snapping some pics.  Best Part?  Tuffy knows right away, to take extra pictures.  He knows how we roll around here!

Tickle Me Pink Tuesday

I'm beyond tickled pink today. BEYOND!!!

First of all, I met with THE greatest Physical Therapist of all time. I am SO tickled pink. He is a running specialist. People all over the country come to see him and have him rehab them back into the running world. He spent a good hour and half looking me over, reviewing every socket, joint, bone and physiological makeup from my back and hips down. He verified that I did indeed have the body to run. That my hips, knees or back should not be prohibitive to my love for this sport. He actually had me run on the treadmill for a minute. ONE MINUTE! I was running! Okay, just one minute, but I.WAS.RUNNING! He watched my form, watched my gait, watched everything about my body as I ran and as I walked.

He developed some stretches and then turned me over to his athletic trainer, who then developed some exercises to do to get my stability and strength back in all the areas necessary to sustain my body back into my sport.

I left them 2 hours later absolutely exhilirated. I have a stretching program, and exercise program and a running program. Yes, you read that right. A RUNNING PROGRAM!! By Thursday of this week, I will be implementing a mild walk/run program gradually increasing my running time.

I still can't wipe the grin off my face. I was running! I WILL be running!

Secondly, I am not just tickled pink, I am ecstatic that Splenda Daddy is starting my Christmas present. I'm not going to reveal what it is yet, but it is something I have dreamed of having. Something I can't do myself, and he is already starting it. He is making my dream come true! I love that Splenda Daddy!

Finally, I am tickled pink by a little package that came my way today from the lovely Kado. Seriously, she has got to be one of the most thoughtful persons I have ever known. She sent me the NY edition of the paper with the Yankees win all over it. Adding it to my collection and getting it ready for my special room one day just gave me goosebumps!

Okay, yeah, whatever. I'm so late. I've had things to do ya know.

I am tickled pink to discover that my winning jewelry was, in fact, made by the wonderful Sarah HERSELF! For reals! Look at it!It's gorgeous and again I am astounded at her talent! Thanks Sarah - I heart it!

I am tickled pink that I am a MeeMaw. I got a call early Monday morning with the information, the my darling girl had made something for me all by herself.Okay sure, she had some help from her Mommy with the writing, but she chose and placed all the stickers. Seriously, being a grandparent is the BEST.THING.EVER!

I realize the pic is a but blurry, but see that 81? That's 81 degrees baby!! FINALLY!! Some summer-like weather! I.am.loving.it!



This is Sher's new CD and I have been listening to it non-stop for the past two days while in my car running around. LOVE IT! If you don't have it already, go get one! I'll be writing a review on it shortly.




That my Sissy not only knows HOW to eat an ice-cream cone the right way (all over face), but that she loves new shoes so much she can't wait to get them on!




And finally, I came home to this letter in my basket yesterday. (click on it to read it) Best thing all day! Tears, happiness, and sheer pride in Elder L! (yeah I'll repent of the pride later)

Tickle Me Pink Tuesday

I am just "tickled" that tomorrow is Wednesday, but for me it's my Friday. Your Friday??!! Why yes, see I scheduled myself out of the office Thursday and Friday to attend Women's conference. YAY for Women's Conference! However, got a call yesterday with the news that Sissy's mommy needs gallbladder surgery on Thursday and could I take the Sissy? TAKE THE SISSY?!?! Is the Pope Catholic? Is the sky blue? Is Low-Carb Monster the nectar of the Gods? Of course I can take Sissy! So I am "tickled" I get to spend two whole extra days this week with my Ultimate BFF!

I am "tickled" that Splenda's nose splints get to come out today. Seriously, I think the dude got a cold on top of all this and he really.can't.breathe. For the love of all that is holy, let's hope this does the trick!

I am "tickled" that my doc gave me some super great muscle relaxants. However, I have to add that I was feeling wonderful until I had been sitting at my desk for about 90 minutes. Now, I want to cry with pain. I think it might be work itself. I think I might need to quit and go on disability. I think.....wait, it's probably just the drugs talking. They really are the cat's meow and I am "tickled" that they are working for me (mostly)

And last, but certainly, not least, I am "tickled" that I came to work and found a prize on my desk!Oooh...what could be in the delightful bag? I'm ready to wet myself with sheer excitement!







Looksie what she gave me!Yes, these are what you call Cutlets. Yes, they go into your bra to add a little lift to what we lovingly refer to as man flaps. Yes, I got them because she splurged and got a completely new pair of twins. Yes, I immediately put them in and have been admiring myself all morning. Yes, I am truly "tickled" by them!

Now we just need to find a solution for the buthigh issue. You know, when your butt and thigh all run together in one fell swoop? Generally caused by age and gravity causing your once cute and sassy rear to sag right into the area known as your thighs. Gross really. I need to invent some Butt-lets. Just insert into your good girls, and instantly your sagging rear will be perky and pretty once more.

Tickle Me Pink Tuesday

I'm so freakin tickled that I'm nearly wetting myself with excitement!

PT camp starts again next week! I LOVE it! I love that Purdy has all sorts of forms of torture dreamed up for us. I love the social aspect of working out with fun friends and meeting new ones. I love that three days a week, I have Ralynn in my ear giving instructions, and me seeing if I can actually do them. If anyone lives in the southwest end of the Salt Lake valley (Think neighborhood of 2200 west and 7800 south) and want to join, email me and I'll give you the deets. THE BEST!

The sun is shining. Really, no joke this time, it's shining and has been for a couple of days. And better yet, is supposed to for a few more days before clouds sneak back in. Talk about soaking up the vitamin D. I have always been a sun worshipper, and summer with it's wicked hot self, is the yin to my yang. It can't get here fast enough, but for now, the sun and warmer temps are doing the job.

That my BFF cousins are coming to town. Their daughter graduates from BYU, and they are squeezing in a dinner with us. Now growing up, there were four of us. Me, my brother, T, and her brother A. All about the same age (within a few years), and we called ourselves the Fabulous Four. Oh the stories I could tell you! But I'll save them for a memory post or two. Anyhoo, my brother and A live near me, T and her husband are back east but are coming out and we are getting together Saturday night for dinner and a "reunion" of sorts. I can't wait! I love them all so much!

Splenda is having surgery Friday. That tickles me you say? Why yes. Yes it does! See he has this terribly deviated septum. He can't breathe through his nose very well, is constantly congested, snores like a freight train and is constantly tired (due to lack of decent sleep). We have finally talked him into going and getting it checked. The ENT doc was quite frankly surprised at his level of blockage. So Friday, it's gettin fixed!! Of course, he'll have a couple of bad days, but that is what drugs are for. Once he gets past that, I think he will feel better than he has his entire life!

C is doing better. Neck still stiff and sore, but what's hysterical? And yes, we have to find things to laugh about right? He is SO DRUGGED UP. Annnnnnddddd.....working. I happened to be working at his office today at the hospital and it's quite comical. I am so glad nothing was seriously damaged. I'm glad he didn't break anything or worse. And, I am glad he is amusing me today.

Tuffy's creativity. Seriously. The kid has always been creative and a quiet thinker and someone who is constantly "out of the box". Enough so, that school basically sucks for him. He doesn't fit "the traditional norm" so it is a struggle to even get through. How I can't wait for him to be done. He really belongs in a special high school for creative culinary art students. That is his passion and that is what he does best. He is never at a loss for coming up with something cool to either eat or just look at. Take for example this:We were just sitting at the table being bored, making small talk while waiting for Splenda to come home. He had just downed a Jones soda and was fiddling with the lid. Next thing I know, "Hey check this out Mom" He's created a stick figure with the Jones bottle lid and scraps he took off of it. Cool kid.

Oh ho ho, the delights today!

I am tickled pink.....

That I FINALLY got the subject line of Elder L's last email! Okay it took a Shark explaining that his fingers spelled out blood and that it was a gang sign, and I had to look again for myself, but at least I FINALLY understood! However, should I be concerned that my missionary is throwing up gang signs? I know I'm not particularly tickled. Okay, that's a lie, it makes me laugh. Out.loud.with.snorting.

That my reading list is almost caught up! Okay, that's a lie, I got one book finished and I am not behind on any daily papers. So my reading basket looks fairly manageable. But! I am tickled I finished my book!

That I have turned a new leaf today and am eating healthy! Yesterday was not quite as good. Okay, that's a lie. I was downright BAD yesterday. An entire box of Milk Duds and finishing off the last of the Baked Lays potato chips, thus constituting my entire daily's worth of caloric intake was a BAD, BAD decision. And no, Splenda, I am not going to eat dinner to have something healthy. I have ALREADY EXCEEDED MY CALORIES!!! But! Today? New leaf - new day - no candy!

That my dog's are going in tomorrow for spring clean up's! And that, my friends is the truth. Tomorrow. 8:00am. Hair cuts. Freakshow and Jordan. Mutt and Jeff. Spaghetti and Meatball. Whatever term of endearment that comes out of my mouth towards them will be much sweeter after they have been bathed, shaved and clipped.
