An open letter to President Obama

Dear Barry,

Please get your ass back to work.  Get off the campaign trail.  Stop doing your little town hall meetings.  Quit holding sessions at universities attempting to secure the younger vote.  And Facebook?  REALLY?  Don't you have more important things that should be on your mind other than schmoozing with the social networks?

Get back to your office and get to work on the pressing problems at hand.  We got an issue in Libya.  Afghanistan.  Iraq.

We have a budget issue.  Unemployment.  Rising oil prices which in turn kill us citizens (your employers) at every turn.  Gas, food, commodities.

I realize Congress is on break, but you have plenty to do while they are out to keep you busy. 

Once they reconvene, get your ass into their sessions, pull out a seat front and center  IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AISLE and start talking and problem solving.  A community organizer?  Then freaking organize the Senate and House to come to agreeable terms.  Lose your own agenda. 

Your whole strategy now of campaigning for 2012 is most certainly going to backfire on you when you have yet to accomplish anything of significant positives under your watch so far.

And, for the love of all that's holy, stop apologizing around the globe for America.  You forget, sir, that you are one of us.  At least you claim your birth certificate makes it so.  And by the way, I'm not necessarily a "birther" but if you have nothing to hide, why not show it and shut your critics up?  Your lack to do so, portrays arrogance on a whole new level.

Bottom line, you have not been doing the job you were hired for, you are currently not demonstrating any corrective action to begin performing your job duties in a satisfactory manner and I, for one, am sick and tired of it.

Especially with the past few weeks of clear and blatant campaigning rather than sleeves rolled up and working.

Stop it.

Do the job you were hired for.

Get to work. 

Get back to the office, bear down and tackle the tough issues.  Stop TALKING ABOUT THEM!  Stop campaigning for re-election.  It's not going to happen if you don't produce now.  And produce something that is meaningful and is in the best interest of your employers (us the citizens) and NOT what is according to your own agenda and those that seem to pull your strings.

Got a great email today, that of course needs to be shared.....

John G. Is 63 years old and owns a small business. He's a life-long Republican and sees his dream of retiring next year has all but evaporated. With the stock market crashing and new taxes coming his way, John assumes now that he will work to his dying day.John has a granddaughter. Ashley is a recent college grad. She drives a flashy hybrid car, wears all the latest fashions, and loves to go out to nightclubs and restaurants. Ashley campaigned hard for Barack Obama. After the election she made sure her grandfather (and all other Republican family members) received a big I told-you-so earful on how the world is going to be a much better place now that Obama and her party is taking over.


Having lost both roommates, Ashley recently ran short of cash and cannot pay the rent (again) on her 3 bedroom townhouse.. Like she has done many times in the past, she e-mailed her grandfather asking for some financial help.
Here is his reply:
Sweetheart, I received your request for assistance. Ashley, you know I love you dearly and I 'm sympathetic to your financial plight Unfortunately, times have changed. With the election of President Obama, your grandmother and I have had to set forth a bold new economic plan of our own..."The Ashley Economic Empowerment Plan." Let me explain.
Your grandmother and I are life-long, wage-earning tax payers. We have lived a comfortable life, as you know, but we have never had the fancier things like European vacations, luxury cars, etc.. We have worked hard and were looking forward to retiring soon. But the plan has changed. Your president is raising our personal and business taxes significantly. He says it is so he can give our hard earned money to other people. Do you know what this means, Ashley? It means less for us, and we must cut back on many business and personal expenses.
You know the wonderful receptionist who worked in my office for more than 23 years? The one who always gave you candy when you came over to visit? I had to let her go last week. I can't afford to pay her salary and all of the government mandated taxes that go with having employees. Your grandmother will now work 4 days a week to answer phones, take orders and handle the books. We will be closed on Fridays and will lose even more income to the new Wal-Mart store that recently opened.
I'm also very sorry to report that your cousin Frank will no longer be working summers in the warehouse. I called him at school this morning. He already knows about it and he's upset because he will have to give up skydiving and his yearly trip to Greenland to survey the polar bears.
That's just the business side of things. Some personal economic effects of Obama's new taxation policies include none other than you You know very well that over the years your grandmother and I have given you thousands of dollars in cash, tuition assistance, food, housing, clothing, gifts, etc., etc. But by your vote, you have chosen to help others -- not at your expense -- but at our expense.

You yourself told me how foolish it is to vote Republican. You said Mr Obama is going to be the People's President, and is going to help every American live a better life. Based on everything you've told me, along with all the promises we heard during the campaign, I'm sure Mr. Obama will be happy to transfer some stimulus money into your bank account. Have him call me for the account number which I memorized years ago...

Perhaps you can now understand what I've been saying all my life: those who vote for a president should consider the impact on the nation as a whole, and not be just concerned with what they can get for themselves. What Obama supporters don't seem to realize is all of the money he is redistributing to illegal aliens and non-taxpaying Americans (the so-called "less fortunate") comes from tax-paying families.
Remember how you told me, "Only the richest of the rich will be affected"? Well guess what, honey? Because we own a business, your grandmother and I are now considered to be the richest of the rich. On paper, it might look that way, but in the real world, we are far from it.
As you said while campaigning for Obama, some people will have to carry more of the burden so all of America can prosper... You understand what that means, right? It means that raising taxes on productive people results in them having less money; less money for everything, including granddaughters.
I'm sorry, Ashley, but the well has run dry... The free lunches are over... I have no money to give you now. So, congratulations on your choice for "change." For future reference, I encourage you to try and add up the total value of the gifts and cash you have received from us, just since you went off to college, and compare it to what you expect to get from Mr. Obama over the next 4 (or 8) years. I have not kept track of it, Ashley. It has all truly been the gift of our hearts.
Remember, we love you dearly...but from now on you'll need to call the number mentioned above. Your "Savior" has the money we would have given to you. Just try and get it from him.

Dinner at the White House

Oh NO! Not another Democrat!!

My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day. He has his food prepared for him. He can eat whenever he wants, 24/7/365. His meals are provided at no cost to him. He visits the Dr. once a year for his checkup, and again during the year if any medical needs arise. For this he pays nothing, and nothing is required of him.

He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than he needs, but he is not required to do any upkeep. If he makes a mess, someone else cleans it up. He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep. He receives these accommodations absolutely free. He is living like a king, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever. All of his costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day.

I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a brick in the head, Holy Crap, my dog is a democrat!

I have my mug of CFDC with vanilla raised to the voters in Massachusetts in the hopes that they do the right thing.

Thankful Thursday - Warning....Political rant involved

I am thankful for the sacred privilege of free speech. However, this bothers me

That's my flag. I feel like someone graffiti tagged my home.

I am thankful for those who are serving to protect our country and our freedoms. I'm trying to understand why Obama is still holding off? His top general has been asking for months and yet he is still thinking about it? If the top general, who by the way was CHOSEN by BO, and who is consulted constantly by war strategists, outlines a plan for the current conflict, why does the commander-in-chief balk at his recommendations? What message does this send those hard working men and women who daily place themselves in harms way for us and for freedom?

I am extremely thankful for my health care coverage. I have worked hard the past several years to get my cholesterol levels and other measurable health numbers to a better than average healthy status. Therefore, I pay accordingly. I am thankful that I have some CONTROL over which doctors I see and when I can see them. I am thankful that I have been, in a sense, rewarded for healthy living. However, this plan not just frightens me, but angers me.
Closed doors? How does she expect it is going to be paid for? Likely by us hard working Americans that do everything we possibly can to save, live within our means, pay our taxes and overall play by the rules. I donate to charity on a monthly basis and assist and aid where and when I can. But I choose. I do not want to have myself taxed out the wazoo so that the government can decide who gets the assistance. Being fundamentally opposed to abortion, I also don't think I should have to pay for it. If I earn my money, don't I get a say as to what I do with it?

I'm thankful that I have a personal blog that I can vent on about these things from time to time.

people who cannot seem to keep current on their income taxes, would you
have approved?

(Cuatro de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you
have winced in embarrassment?

If George W. Bush had mis-spelled the word advice would you have hammered
him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoe as proof of what a dunce
he is?

If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single
tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite?

If George W. Bush's administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over
millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing
widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what
happened on 9-11?

If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout
the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans ,
would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of
racism and incompetence?

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major
corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would
you have approved?

If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had
taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have
approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10
years, would you have approved?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and
impressive? Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in 5
months -- so you'll have three years and seven months to come up with an
answer.
