I have become what I swore I would never do.
A blurker.....
You know THAT kind. The blogger who reads post after post after post and doesn't leave a comment.
I used to be a good commenter. Usually something encouraging, supportive, or even witty.
I've lost it. Lost it all. Instead right now, I am enjoying reading, catching up, peeking into the lives of those that I have met on-line and enjoy/admire. I am laughing at their humor, or learning from their insight but not leaving my voice.
Sorry.
Working on finding my voice again, but in the meantime.....keep posting 'cause I'm still reading
xoxo

i TOTALLY know how that is. i don't mind your doing that at all! it's big of you to admit it. we all do it from time to time :)
ReplyDeleteTotally okay. I find myself reading a few, commenting on a few, and then marking all as read. But I kind of feel good that I'm not as glued to the computer anymore.
ReplyDeleteI've been a "blurker" lately too...and an infrequent poster as well.
ReplyDeleteTimes and seasons, right? :)
And...it was great to meet you @ the blog dinner Cherie hosted.
I think we all feel that way.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing at how the hours can be eaten up in front of the screen.
I agree with the other commentors. Comment when you can Blurk when you feel like it!
ReplyDeleteYep...I've been a Bluker lately too! Now I know there is a word for it...heehee! I've been so busy lately with work that I haven't had the time to comment like I usually do on all of my fav blogs. So like you, I'm out there reading and enjoying! So blurk away Mcat, blurk away. =)
ReplyDeleteEveryone is blurking. Comments are low everywhere, even on the "big" blogs. Except pioneer woman. She gets something like twenty thousand comments every time she posts. But she also gives away $2000 cameras. So, you know. I guess she deserves the comments. :) I kinda think blog "interaction" is moving to Facebook. Which is weird, and kind of sad. I don't know. Either way, I'm glad you're still out there. ;)
ReplyDeleteI've been Blurking lately too. I'm now following well over 150 blogs...
ReplyDeleteBlurk AWAY!
ReplyDeleteLove you!
You and I would always make a club...I've been guilty of this lately as well...
ReplyDeleteI'm a blurker too. Ironic how a blog post about blurking gets quite a few comments, eh?
ReplyDeleteit happens.
ReplyDeleteno worries.
as all of these commentors have mentioned.....I guess we all go through that sometimes.
ReplyDeleteJust don't have anything that seems of any worth to say.
I have actually even been tempted to QUUIT my blog.
I am feeling very blahhhhh about it.
but I love ya, and enjoying knowing what's going on in your world.
I go through spurts where I blurk, too. It is usually when I have nothing witty or important to say in response. Lately I've been more a reader and less of a writer on blogs. Lame-o, I know! ;]
ReplyDeleteBTW, I saw this on Totsy and thought of your Yankee room:

Hope you are having a lovely day! :]
I'm a total lurker. I love to read but just don't always have anything to contribute. I refuse to feel obligated. Too much work!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteLet me try this again (that was me above, "comment removed by author"). Because I messed up. Which is why I don't comment any more. I don't even read as much any more, rarely comment and never post.
ReplyDeleteBut just so ya know, the love is still there. So I'm glad you're still posting.
I am a blurker as well, just did not know there was a name for it.
ReplyDeleteblurking is good when you have a "life that is demanding more and more of your time"
ReplyDeleteComments are nice but not when they become a burden.
When you can do
when you can't don't
no worries ever!
I get that way sometimes too. So I can be patient....especially since I have been lame about posting lately :-(
