The Nuptials - Part I

I know right?  They've been married like two weeks or something and I still haven't posted.  I was hoping to get more pictures but I might be waiting a dang long time.......

Being the mother of the groom is much easier.  Very little stress and particularly this time around because Luke and Mindy handled most everything themselves anyway.  It all came together and made for a wonderful, memorable experience.

Thursday morning, I picked up vests and ties, made sure my temple clothes, double checked outfits, and then treated myself to a mani/pedi.

I then met Luke and Mindy for lunch.  Two reasons.  First, to have a "last lunch" with my last unmarried son.  And secondly to give Mindy some traditional gifts.  I promise each of my Young Women that when they get married in the temple, they get their first pair of "good girls" (temple garments) from me. She was my Beehive and the deal stuck.  I have also started a tradition of giving each of my daughter-in-loves a necklace with a family tree charm.  It symbolizes them joining our tree, adding their family branch if you will.

A quick stop after lunch for last minute shoes and then I was ready!
aren't they the CUTEST?!?!

Mid afternoon, the SoCal kids flew in and I seriously couldn't contain my excitement!  With the schedule so tight, we only had time to go home, dump their luggage, change clothes and then head to the temple.

Mindy had chosen to wait until Thursday night to receive her own temple endowments so that Corb and Kar could be here.  I will love her forever for doing that!  It made it a wonderful experience to have so many family and friends there!
Mi familia!!

Up next - the actual wedding day!!
