The morning started off beautiful (for it being fall and all) and after toodling around in the pool and chatting it up with Lisa, I hit the ground running.
Ironing my men's shirts.....
There were last minute errands, and then getting stuff ready and at the church.
The next several photos are from mostly from a cell phone, so quality....less than stellar - but I think they capture the moments nicely. Thanks Mitzi!
My boy is lookin GOOOOOOOD!!
Meanwhile, the bride was primping herself
One last hug from Momma
BFF Mitzi with each of them
and then it's off to the church!!
More photos before the ceremony
And then it was time for the ceremony
Ladies and Gentlemen.........
Mr and Mrs Preston Catmull
After several more photos that I hope to get from the professional soon, there was a small catastrophe. Chloee was playing with all her new family friends and a chair collapsed on her hand. Her fingers had to be pried out and then off to the Instacare she went with her Mommy and Daddy. Took some xrays, verified no break, bandaged up and then met us at the luncheon.
Sadly, I don't have any pictures from the luncheon yet. I guess the wedding will span over several posts. Splenda Daddy made a beautiful video that even though I have watched several times, still makes me cry. A lot. It deserves it's own post. Will be forthcoming.
After the luncheon at Buca di Beppo's (highly recommended BTW), it was back to the church for the reception,
Now to understand the next three pictures, you have to understand the beginnings of their relationship. Two years ago, there began a summer chalking war. The girls would chalk my driveway with notes to me and Tuffy. Tuffy would retaliate. That is how their flirting began. With sidewalk chalk. The school year started, and the Homecoming dance.....they have been together ever since.
Her colors were purple ( a couple of different shades) and silver. So gorgeous. The decorator lady did a great job in changing the cultural hall to something magical. The lights added the night before and the disco ball the DJ's brought gave it the final touches.
Cake lady adding the live flowers
Candy table for guests to create their own bags of candy
So tempting
The food table which really consisted of treat after treat after treat! So yummy!
The table centerpieces were framed photos of the kids and a floating flower. Simple yet very pretty
Did I mention a lot of treats?
The final product of the cake was stunning!
Outside in the foyer, the decorator added some beautiful tables, a large easel for their pictures and then we had a large screen playing the video for guests to watch as they waited in line
Their first dance
Time to cut the cake - the two were unsure how to go about it at first.
Montana's aunt and uncle are amazing singers/musicians - Emme sang first, then the two of them together. It was absolutely beautiful!
Time for the garter (no pics of the bouquet toss - prolly cause Mitzi was elbowing it out for it! : )
Apparently, the DJ informed us of a tradition that whomever catches the bouquet and whomever catches the garter have to dance together. Since Montana's youngest sister Alexis (14) and then a friend from her work (20something) it wasn't.awkward.at.all.
And then it was time to party (thanks for the additional pics Tib)
This next picture? Honeymoon. We booked the Treasure Island room for them at the Anniversary Inn. So glad that this is the only picture they sent us!
and this very last picture is my most favorite of all so far
All my lil chickens. Under the gazebo together!
Can't wait to get more official photos! I'll warn you so you can just click mark as read......unless you are my Mom and then you have to look at EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!
