Tickle Me Pink Tuesday - illustrated version......

I heart friend's.
Friend's that understand when I need to sort n soothe.
That make sure that need is fulfilled.

Yellow's
Green's
Orange's
Red's
Purple's

Two at a time.
Don't mix colors
Don't pre-sort, just dump the bag and pick two out by color at a time.
Aaaaaahhhhhh - soothing...........

I heart Sissy. I heart Shoes. I heart Sissy and silly shoes together

I heart long birthday's. And MIL's that make you dinner and celebrate with cake. And Sissy thinking it was for her. Singing "Happy Birthday to you - co-ee."

All these things have me just "tickled pink" today!

Monday - Missionary Update

Parents,

Well mom and dad, things are going good here in Valdivia. This week did go by really fast. I guess that is what happens when you got a lot of things to do huh? Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun this week with the camping and the bike ride. I guess we will have to be doing that when I get back. Speaking of getting back, and to answer your question about the date, its set at the 30th of December. Actually we cant change it. The office called me the other day when I was in interchanges and told me that they already bought my ticket. It is going to be really busy that time of year, so they need to do it really early. And about the card, I haven’t gotten it yet, but then again, I haven’t checked yet. We are going to get the mail today after we are done using the net and bowling. That’s right….bowling. Our zone and another zone are going to get together and we are going to play a little game of bowling. This is the only place that I have ever seen here in Chile that has bowling, so this should be really cool! When I do get the card, the office will be giving you a call saying that I got my card and that you guys can go ahead and activate it., so no worries there. Nothing else big going on this week, just the good old missionary work. Can you believe how the time is flying by? We are coming up on the 20th month mark. WOW kinda crazy huh?
Thanks you guys for sending me the pics, although, one of the pics I couldn’t see, it was the one that you sent me mom, I am not sure why, but I couldn’t even open it. Maybe you sent it wrong. As you can see I have added some pics of my new comp. I know its kinda late haha but whatever. It has been really cold, and I am actually short on just a couple of things that I accedently left in my other sector. Clothes no…but like fingernail clippers, and an adapter for my razor, and my discman. I guess that I will have to wait to get them when the card comes. Something cool to tell you guys. The sister of my comp, Elder Cuadra lives kinda close to our house. I gave the direction to my comp to give to her so that she could see our house and she told me comp that the other day, she found and saw our house. She didn’t have time to see if someone was home, but hey there was someone from chile really close to our house haha! Other than this guys, nothing new going on. I am going to send you guys some pics now. I love you guys and miss you!!

**Those hot dogs actually look good! And what's up with the dorky glasses? IDK - he didn't mention anything about them.......

Drafting guys over the age of 60

A well thought out plan that makes perfect sense to me.......Drafting Guys over 60----this is funny & obviously written by a Former Soldier-

New Direction for any war: Send Service Vets over 60!

I am over 60 and the Armed Forces thinks I'm too old to track down terrorists. You can't be older than 42 to join the military.

They've got the whole thing ass-backwards. Instead of sending 18-year olds off to fight, they ought to take us old guys. You shouldn't be able to join a military unit until you're at least 35.

For starters: Researchers say 18-year-olds think about sex every 10 seconds. Old guys only think about sex a couple of times a day, leaving us more than 28,000 additional seconds per day to concentrate on the enemy.

Young guys haven't lived long enough to be cranky, and a cranky soldier is a dangerous soldier. 'My back hurts! I can't sleep, I'm tired and hungry' We are impatient and maybe letting us kill some a**hole that desperately deserves it will make us feel better and shut us up for a while.
An 18-year-old doesn't even like to get up before 10 a.m. Old guys always get up early to pee. Besides, like I said, 'I'm tired and can't sleep and since I'm already up, I may as well be up killing some fanatical person.

If captured we couldn't spill the beans because we'd forget where we put them. In fact, name, rank, and serial number would be a real stretch.

Boot camp would be easier for old guys. We're used to getting screamed and yelled at and we're used to soft food. We've also developed an appreciation for guns. We've been using them for years as an excuse to get out of the house, away from the screaming and yelling.

They could lighten up on the obstacle course however. I've been in combat and didn't see a single 20-foot wall with rope hanging over the side, nor did I ever do any pushups after completing basic training.

Actually, the running part is kind of a waste of energy, too. I've never seen anyone outrun a bullet.

An 18-year-old has the whole world ahead of him. He's still learning to shave, to start up a conversation with a pretty girl. He still hasn't figured out that a baseball cap has a brim to shade his eyes, not the back of his head.

These are all great reasons to keep our kids at home to learn a little more about life before sending them off into harm's way.

Let us old guys track down those dirty rotten coward terrorists. The last thing an enemy would want to see is a couple of million mad old farts with attitudes and automatic weapons who know that their best years are already behind them.

***How about recruiting Women over 50 ....with PMS !!! You think Men have attitudes !!! Ohhhhhhhhhhhh my Goodness!!! If nothing else, put them on border patrol.....we will have it secured the first night!

Share this with your senior friends. It's purposely in big type so they can read it.

Thanks BFC for the email

ULCER ride 2009

ULCER 2009

I did this.
I finished.
The headwinds made me cry, burned my eyes, and chapped my face.
The hills between miles 85 and 95 made me second guess my sanity.
The gusts that nearly knocked me off my bike several times scared me.
Total saddle time: 7:21:21 - I don't want to sit on my bike. Ever. Again.

I did it.
I finished.
The.End.

Sissy and our Birthday Lagoon date!

Not the best self portrait, but hey.

After the movie, Sissy and I headed to Lagoon. It was Splenda's company party, and since the tickets were free, I figured why miss that just cause he is gone? We got there and immediatley headed for the kiddie section. And while the lines were long, she had a blast, and I loved watching her.

She rode the helicopters The boats the penguin the train (with it's wanna be zoo animals) the rockets with shooting guns the whales some other kind of twirling ride the swings (I admit, I got a little nauseous just watching)

We then headed to the reserved pavilion for dinner. Ask me how much fun it is to sit with hundreds of people that your husband works with and you know about 3 of them. Go ahead, ask...... but the food was free. And I am ALL about free. Sissy managed to get a bite or two in, but was more interested in playing with her stroller and finding new and exciting ways to get in and out of it.

I spent my 10 minutes there, said hi to the few people I knew and then we headed back out to the rides. On the way into the reserved area, we passed a new ride that had giant sharks as part of it. My girl is OBSESSED with sharks, so of course it was where we headed. We waited in line and as we got almost there, I realized that while she was big enough to ride, she needed a "responsible person" with her. CRAP! It was not only a spinning ride, but it sprayed water as you went around and around and around. Luckily, I had been chatting with the family behind me and their oldest son was going to ride alone. He very kindly agreed to let Sissy ride with him. I had to convince him that she not only DID NOT have cooties, but wouldn't touch him, talk to him, scream or cry....

After the wet shark ride, we headed to the kids version of the rocket. The Lady Bug Bop or for the boys the Dinosaur Drop.
I was trying to get more video, but my memory card was full. I had the camera rolling the entire ride, but obviously only got her trying to say the ride's name which was cute in and of itself. I spent the next several minutes deleting non-essential pictures to free up memory space......

By far her favorite ride was the kiddie coaster. Puff, the Dragon. She called it the green dinosaur. I can't even tell you how many times we rode that thing. It never got old. I have some great video, but I have been trying to load it for 3 days now, and no go. Whatev.....

And while I missed our "traditional" Lagoon day with Splenda, Sissy was a kick in the pants date!

Birthday Fun - Part III

Sissy and I hit the early showing of Ice Age 3 - Dawn of the Dinosaurs. We have seen it before, but she loves it. And I love to see her happy. Was not disappointed.
